About us
The department of Veterinary Clinical Complex (VCC) has been created as per Veterinary Council of India (VCI) regulations’ 2008 and other guidelines and started functioning since July’2012 for smooth pursuance of B.V.Sc. & A.H. study programme in relation to examinations and evaluation of said courses under VCI syllabus.
Apart from our teaching assignment, Department is actively engaged in treatment of all patient in its Hospital located both at Belgachia and Mohanpur for all workings hours.
Students are also taken to different Veterinary hospitals located in three adjacent Districts as a part of ambulatory clinical practice round the year with the help of the teachers of the clinical departments for pertaining the clinical training. Students are also taken to different villages adjacent to Mohanpur campus for acquainting them with rural Veterinary Practice life.
This department regularly organizes animal health camp in the adjacent villages and on different auspicious days like World Veterinary Day, World Zoonosis Day, and World Rabies Day etc.
The department also caters burial and post-mortem facilities to the dead animals as that is scarce in metropolis like Kolkata.
